JR Konieczny is a 6'7" forward/wing from South Bend, Indiana, and a graduate-level prospect whose 2025–26 season at FGCU was the best of his career. As a grad transfer from Notre Dame, he averaged 15.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game on 44.4% shooting — ranking 4th in the ASUN in steals and 5th in rebounds. He posted nine 20-point games (the most by any Eagle that season), three double-doubles, and set a new career high of 31 points and 11 rebounds in a single game against North Florida — one of the 20 thirty-point performances in FGCU program history.
Before FGCU, JR spent four years at Notre Dame (ACC), developing as a two-way wing against elite competition. As a redshirt junior, he averaged 7.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while starting 19 of 32 games and shooting 83.7% from the free throw line — including back-to-back double-doubles off the bench in his first career start at the Legends Classic (Brooklyn).
